RELAXATION TECHNIQUES BRING OUT PERSONAL PEACE AMONG STUDENTS WITH ATTENTION DEFICIT AND HYPERACTIVITY DISORDER (ADHD)

Abstract

Effective Learning is possible with a peaceful personal mindset of students. The core point of peace is personal peace and then it expands to interpersonal or social peace, global peace and peace between humans and earth and beyond in creating the culture of peace. The base of personal peace has its root on classroom environment in every student?s life. This experimental study approaches Peace Education in a distinct way with two single case studies. The sample chosen for the study are Attention Deficit and Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) adolescence at school level. Initially eight ADHD students were selected randomly for the present study. They were considered as control group and pre test was measured on Attention through Attention Questionnaire developed by De W Vos & Schepers (1993) and their brain regions were recorded through Electroencephalogram (EEG).
